Spank Nitti James — also known as "Spark Nickels" or "The Harlot Breaker" — is one of the most exciting artists emerging from the Inland Empire. His breakthrough came in 2018 with "Caucasian," a record that immediately caught the attention of industry heavyweights Freddie Gibbs and Hit-Boy.
Fast forward to 2026, and Spank's growth — both creatively and professionally — is undeniable. While continuing to build his independent label Wiggle Nation, he's signed to R Baron for management, aligned with Sony, and deeply rooted in Hit-Boy's Surf Club collective.
Fresh off his co-release with Hit-Boy, Yeast Talkin', Spank delivered a standout year highlighted by "Eat Couch" and "Start Dissin" — the latter's video release party was held at the same iconic mansion known for hosting Roc Nation brunches, with an A-list crowd including Mario, James Fauntleroy, Dave East, and Babytron.

Written by Mz Free for Knock LA — Spank Nitti James has been heating up the Inland Empire and Los Angeles streets since his debut single "Caucasian" in 2018. Co-signed by tastemakers like R Baron MoneyCorps Music Group and Hit-Boy, the Hemet native forced the LA music scene to make room for a new wave.
He grew up in Hemet, moved through Texas and LA, and wrote "Caucasian" while incarcerated — dropping it the moment he got out. The record went viral and launched everything that followed.

"I really wrote this shit down and branded myself. The knowledge I was getting at the beginning was perfect for what I was gonna do. I'm spiritual too, so it felt like God was really setting me up for this."
"N*ggas be out here having fake fun. Surf Club — we be having real fun."
"I'm just an artist pushing, tryna put me and my sound on. It's a Southern California sound, but it's like a whole new futuristic sound that no one has heard before. I'm here to kick the door down and present it to the people."
"I just come to the studio regular. Then Hit-Boy takes it and goes somewhere. Start Dissin — I just did my verse, it was just a beat. Then Scott Storch came and laid some piano. That's just how it works."
"In Hemet there's a couple little hoods out there. It's not much, we a small city. We like a gumbo pot, cuz it's people coming from LA, Watts, all over Compton, so it be whole hoods in our city."
"I was in the cut, I would demand attention when I needed it. I was a n*gga, I just wasn't pressed for it. I wouldn't be all extra, I was just myself and people gravitated to me."

"Bringing a sound he describes as futuristic, uniquely Southern California to the rap scene."
